Live from Chicago

U2_vertigo_dvd Live from Chicago, the coming DVD release from U2 is tops on my list of Christmas gifts.  I was fortunate enough to be at the concert with my good friend Walter.  Such an incredible show.  If you buy/download the iTunes video, City of Blinding Lights–that was the opening song of the concert we were at in May–you can get a feel for the energy in the United Center, the preview does not quite cut it, but it is great cinematography.

Christian Music Lives

Dc_band Gotta hand it to the new Christian Music market, David Crowder and Switchfoot leading the iTunes downloads for two weeks… something has happened…  Thankfully, Christian musicians are producing great music instead of simply producing garbage so the Christian subculture has something to talk about having in contrast to secular music.  I am actually proud now to talk about Christian bands in secular culture, because they are good, not an embarrassment to the faith we profess. – Nate
